On this gay retirement relocation tour you will see the best of both worlds since it combines our very popular Central Pacific Beach Tour with our Central Valley Tour. You are sure to find out if the beach or inland area is right for you. All of our clients love this fact-filled scouting tour.

Retirement Tour Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive in San Jose. Our staff will meet you at the airport and transport you to the Colours Oasis Resort.

Sunday: :
Day 2
- Breakfast at the Colours Oasis Resort. Then a 7:30am departure for Jaco Beach where you will stay at the Hotel Poseidon or similar hotel located ½ block form the beach. On the way you will receive a packet of materials and orientation about the tour. Prior to arriving at the hotel we will stop at the Nativa Resort and then tour the five star Marriott Los Sueños resort, marina and golf course. Lunch will be served at the Jungle Café in Playa Hermosa. After lunch we will visit the new Del Pacifico Development in Esterillos Este and Faro Escondido. Dinner will be in the dining room of the Hotel Poseidon in Jaco.

Monday:
Day 3
- Breakfast at the Hotel Poseidon will be followed by a 7:30am departure for Quepos and the Manuel Antonio National Park. On the way we will pass through the town of Parrita. We visit some of the beaches and beach developments nearby before continuing on to Quepos. Lunch will be in downtown Quepos at the Restaurant El Gran Escape. In the afternoon we will hook up with a local guide that will show us more of the fantastic possibilities of the area. Tonight will be staying at the Big Ruby's La Plantation. Dinner tonight will be at the Restaurant Mar Luna.

Tuesday:
Day 4
- After an early breakfast at the Big Ruby's La Plantation you will depart for Dominical. Because the mountains meet the sea in Dominical, it is called a "Tropical Big Sur." We will hook up with a local guide and see more of the area and it's infrastructure and sample some of the properties. You will travel along the pristine coast with its beautiful seaside rock formations and tropical rain forest as a backdrop to the beautiful Ojochal/Tortuga area. We will have lunch on a house boat/restaurant or other excellent restaurant in this area. On the way you will see the areas where whales can be observed during most of the year. This sight is spectacular. This part of Costa Rica just recently became accessible when the new costal highway was finished. A world of possibilities exist here to live or retire. During the rest of the day we will explore the area and learn about of the amenities, unique lifestyle and activities it has to offer: waterfalls, tropical rain forests, bird watching, fishing, diving, horseback riding, hiking, boating, kayaking, surfing and so much more. Returning to your hotel in the evening. Dinner to be determined.

Wednesday:
Day 5
- Breakfast at Big Ruby's La Plantation followed by a 8:30am departure for San José via Puriscal. Departing the hotel we will back track a little to Parrita before we turn off the Coastal Highway and start our drive up the mountains diving through Puriscal where we will look at some new developments before continuing toward Cuidad Colon for lunch and then on to San José where you will stay again at the Colours Oasis Resort. Evening Free.

Thursday:
Day
6 - Breakfast at the Colours Oasis Resort. You will be picked up and driven to the highly informative Seminar sponsored by the Association of Residents of Costa Rica. You will hear from some of the country's foremost authorities in the fields of real estate, law, health care, moving, medical care, insurance, learning the language and more. A few people who have moved to Costa Rica will share their experiences with you. You will make new friends and begin to make a network of valuable contacts. A delicious buffet lunch is included. Happy Hour is scheduled after the seminar. Tonight following the Happy Hour ~~ Chris Howard, the renowned Retirement Tour Leader and author of 15 editions of the best selling book, "The New Golden Door to Retirement and Living in Costa Rica" will join you for dinner at a local restaurant. Have your questions ready for him!

Friday:
Day 7
- After breakfast in the Colours Oasis Resort you will be picked up and driven to the second day of the seminar with lunch included. You will hear more from the rest of Costa Rica's experts. You are free to return to your hotel at anytime you wish or to dine out. Evening Free.

Saturday:
Day 8
- Breakfast at the Colours Oasis Resort followed by a 7:30 departure. First, we will go on a city tour to see where Americans reside, the University of Costa Rica, malls, hospitals, parks, a warehouse-style supermarket to show you what food products are available in Costa Rica and so much more. A few of the places you will see are the neighborhoods of Los Yoses, Barrio Escalante, Sabana Norte and Rohrmoser. You will also visit the towns Escazú, Santa Ana, Ciudad Cariari, Heredia and the areas of San José de la Montaña with its alpine-like setting and charmingly quaint San Isido. We will even give you a chance to see the inside of a couple on homes along the way. Lunch at the La Princess Marina Marisqueria in Moravia, after lunch you will visit the town center of Moravia to see the area and stop at the country's best souvenir shops. Free night.

Sunday:
Day 9
- Breakfast at the Colours Oasis Resort followed by a 7:30 departure. First, you will explore the beautiful mountain town of Atenas, considered by National Geographic as having the "best climate" in the world. Then you will visit Grecia, know as "the cleanest city" in Costa Rica. The surrounding area is spectacular. On our drive through La Garita you will stop for lunch at the Delicias del Maíz which offers excellent Costa Rican cuisine in an informal restaurant specializing in corn dishes and grilled meats. Next you will visit Alajuela which is Costa Rica's second largest city. After lunch you will visit a couple of properties to give you a better idea of the lifestyle in the Central Valley and to get an idea of the price of property.

Monday:
Day 10
- Breakfast at the Colours Oasis Resort. Transportation to the airport is included. Airfare is not included.
